Gosfield Hall sits approximately an hour’s drive outside of London, a perfectly situated wedding venue for couples in Greater London, Essex, and surrounding areas of the Southeast. Jane and Jim enjoyed a lovely day, in spite of grey clouds which fortunately never quite materialised into rain. They also just escaped the blast of cold which swept down from Scotland over the bank holiday weekend. I’m learning quickly that a bank holiday in the UK usually guarantees miserable weather. There’s certainly something to be said for weekday weddings!
Jane and Jim were dressed and ready well in advance of the ceremony, which gave us plenty of time for some relaxed photographs beforehand. Their timings also allowed plenty of room for group photographs and a relaxed session of couples portraits before dinner. An extra thirty minutes can make such a difference!
Finally, the staff at Gosfield Hall were so well organised and easy going. It’s a beautiful setting regardless, but the people involved make it a truly fantastic wedding venue.
Congratulations Jane and Jim!
Another lovely spring wedding! Belinda and Nick enjoyed a holiday weekend wedding at stately Gosfield Hall near Braintree in Essex. A gorgeous bridal suite with big windows and warm light for preparation photos, a peculiarly narrow ceremony space but with beautiful wood walls and daylight streaming through the windows, and a grand banqueting hall for the breakfast. And of course, spacious and green grounds for reception mingling and group photos. The staff had a busy weekend but were absolutely accommodating and helpful. A highly recommended venue.
