A BIG Thank You to my friend and collaborator Wardi Sanusi for the opportunity to jointly photograph the Surrey wedding of Becca and Steve yesterday. I say “jointly” only because he refused to let me use the word “assist.” A long day but a fun one as well.
I started the day just around lunchtime at the Felbridge Hotel & Spa in East Grinstead, where I met the groom, his friends, and family. Most of them flew in the day before from Dublin to Gatwick, a short trip away. At 2pm we loaded onto a coach and headed to the Leatherhead Register Office, also known as “The Mansion,” for the ceremony and a few photographs afterwards in their beautiful grounds. We popped into the pub for a short while afterwards, as the coach was delayed in coming back to collect everyone.
From there, we headed to a field in Caterham, where we finished the day in style with food, drink, cake, and dancing. Once it was dark enough, guests lit and released 50 paper lanterns into the sky. A truly memorable sight.
