“A celebration of life in Purley”

Highlights of the various events which took place all last week in Purley as part of the first Purley Festival. Events included the Purley’s Got Talent competition, plus lots of other live music happening throughout the week at the Jolly Farmers Pub, plus Mama Mia, the Sunrise Centre, the Rectory, Rayon d’Or, Shisha Oui and the Dale Road Music Club; a karaoke competition at Elliott’s; various talks and demonstrations by authors, experts, and campaigners; health activities including Zumba dancing and pampering sessions; film screenings and discussions; lots of art for adults and kids, including stained glass, paper maché, and exhibitions; creative writing; family activities; and a fantastic Finale Day at Rotary Field.

Plans are underway to make next year’s event bigger and better, so stay tuned and come along if you missed it this time around.
