Wedding Photographers Devon

Hannah Cookson and Pascal Laplante

After wrapping up Claire and Andrew’s wedding at the Elvetham Hotel, I said my goodbyes and headed to Devon for Hannah and Pascal’s wedding the next day in Drewsteignton. And a lovely day it was, despite the chilly air & drab Devon sky.

Hannah initially contacted me from Australia, where she and Pascal were working for most of the year leading up to the wedding. And he’s French Canadian, so the whole day was a wonderful mix of international and English country wedding. The shoes are from Australia, the jewellery from Montreal, and the flowers definitely plucked fresh from a Devon garden.

Pascal and the guys began the day with a round of clay pigeon shooting (all but one were complete novices) before heading back to the Fingle Glen to get ready for the rest of the day. Hannah and the ladies spent the morning in the cozy confines of the Drewe Arms’ second floor rooms, doing all of the essentials. A phone call about a missing suit threw everyone into a bit of panic, but after several minutes of conversation and option gathering, a shift in perspective convinced everyone it was a little thing and couldn’t possibly spoil the day.

Hannah looked amazing, but the star of the day was their puppy Daphne!

Finally, special thanks to Beci Mcdonald of Rockrose Photography for her help covering the day.
